Phytotherapy workshop

The aim of the workshop is to return to our roots, get in touch with the earth and honour the ancestral wisdom tissue; to learn about the properties of plants and their benefits: their ability to restore the body, the heart and the mind.

Phytotherapy uses healing plants to prevent or alleviate ailments.

Kombucha workshop

In this workshop I will teach you how to prepare this ancestral probiotic beverage. We will learn about the first and second fermentation and their benefits.

Kombucha is a fermented, sourish drink that is made from a sweetened tea. It is fermented by the Medusomyces, a colony of microorganisms and yeasts more commonly known as the mother fungus or Scoby.

Milk kefir workshop

In this workshop you will learn about this probiotic beverage in a simple way. You’ll learn how to make it from milk kefir grains, about its benefits and properties, as well as how to preserve, activate and handle it.

With its slightly sour taste, milk kefir is a mild fermented milk beverage. It is rich in probiotics, more so than yoghurt.

Water Kefir Workshop

In this workshop you will learn about water kefir, a refreshing drink made from water, sugar and water kefir grains or tibico, its benefits and properties, other kefir variants with healing herbs, as well as ideas for using it as a base to create delicious mocktails.

Water kefir is a refreshing and healthy probiotic drink made from natural water that brings benefits to the body (it is rich in vitamins and minerals).

Tea, tisane and infusion workshop

In this workshop you will learn about the difference between tea, tisane and infusion: the choice and use of plants and their mixtures for an improved healing result; the amount and right temperature of water so as not to lose the properties. You will also learn how to take care of them in order to brew your own infusions, teas or tisanes.

Mother tincture workshop

This workshop is an invitation for you to get the techniques and all necessary information to prepare your own tinctures from healing plants. You will learn about harvesting and drying herbs, processes, maceration time in alcohol and their dosage.

Ointment workshop

The ointment workshop provides you with knowledge to make topical products with phytotherapeutic purposes. Along with the elements, their process, the common active ingredients for topical use and their extraction methods, you will learn how to identify the healing plants that can be used to make topical ointments.

Medicinal liqueur workshop

The specialty liqueur workshop goes through the history of liqueur aiming to get the basic knowledge and tools that are necessary to craft them. You will identify their types and production methods so as to ensure that every beverage is made and tailored with a healing touch.

Incense or herbal smudges for protection

It is about a cleansing traditional method that can be seen across different cultures. You have to light a bunch of dried herbs, and then blow out the flame; smoke should waft. The smoke from this smudge is cleansing as we use different protective herbs such as: rosemary, sage, lavender, lemon balm, rue, laurel, and others.
